Hiei’s
note

Disclaimer:
I don’t own any of the YYH characters mentioned here and never will. Yoshihiro
Togashi owns them.
Note:
This is a fic I thought about while reading other YYH fics. This fic is YAOI.
If you don’t like
yaoi, I suggest that you leave. This is my first attempt at a YYH fic and I’m
fascinated by the pairing of Kurama and Hiei and I ended up writing one.
Kurama
felt a dark youki as he was doing his homework in his room. : Great, Hiei’s
here: He pretended he didn’t notice Hiei, who was sitting at his the
windowsill. Hiei announced his arrival with his trademark ‘hn’. Hiei hated
being ignored. He walked over to Kurama’s desk and covered Kurama’s notebook
with his hand.
“Yes
Hiei?” He raised an eyebrow seductively at Hiei. He’s been doing this for
several months now, It seems that Hiei wasn’t falling for his charms. Hiei’s
eyes widened in surprise at Kurama’s straightforward reaction and retreated to
his usual place at the window. “Hn, stupid kitsune, what’s your reason for calling
me here?”
“Well,
I just wanted to keep me company, that’s all” Kurama knew Hiei enjoyed his
company, and that Hiei often followed him after school, one day while Hiei was
polishing his katana in Kurama’s room, Kurama said that Hiei looked kawaii in
his windowsill. For a brief moment Kurama saw Hiei blush and he was gone in a
blur of black.
::Why
is my stomach turning when this fox is smiling
at me?:: Hiei pretended that he wasn’t fazed at Kurama’s action and
put on his best poker face. “Hn” Hiei took off his cloak and draped it over
Kurama’s bed, and tore off a piece of cloth off his tank top and polished his
katana.
Kurama
sighed, ::polishing his katana again? Doesn’t he have anything to do
than polish that stupid katana?:: but Kurama refused to give up and
continued to do his homework, a few times he would feel that Hiei was staring
at him. That’s why he wore his favorite shirt, a shirt that brought out the
color of his eyes, at the same time showing off his slim figure.
::damn!
Why does the fox have to be so damn beautiful!:: Hiei couldn’t believe it, but he was drooling
over the kitsune. He concentrated at polishing his katana, almost burning
the cloth he was using. How could one simple piece of clothing make a person so
beautiful?!? Hiei tried to slow down
his furiously beating heart. ::Don’t jump him, don’t jump him, don’t jump
him, don’t jump him:: Hiei screamed at himself. Hiei controlled himself
from thinking hentai thoughts about Kurama. When Kurama flipped his hair Hiei
almost lost it. He choked and coughed.
Kurama
smiled in satisfaction at the reaction he was getting from Hiei. He stood up
and walked over Hiei and placed a hand on his shoulder. “What’s the matter
Hiei?” He clapped a little on Hiei’s back. Hiei’s back felt warm. ::If only
you knew Hiei, how I feel about you:: Kurama was always ‘just a friend’ to
Hiei, ::Oh, Hiei, if only I could tell you how I feel:: He sighed
inwardly, he then noticed that Hiei was looking at him strangely.
“Why?
Do I have something on my face?” But still Hiei remained silent. And he
shrugged away Kurama’s hand from his back.
::Did
Kurama just say that? Or was it just my imagination?:: Hiei thought, Kurama just said that he wish
that he could say what he felt for Hiei. Then what did the kitsune felt for
him? Kurama looked confused.
Kurama’s
brow where creased in confusion and cleared. His face took on a horrified look
and he reached out for Hiei but Hiei avoided him. “No, no Hiei! I’m sorry!!” ::I
can’t believe I just said that thought aloud. I wanted to tell him my feelings
when I’m sure about them::
Hiei
had enough of this, he lunged for the half-youko and pinned him to the ground.
“H-hiei!! What are you doing?” he struggled under the koorime, for such a small
person Hiei was really strong. A cold chill ran up Kurama’s spine, Kurama
struggled again but Hiei was far stronger than him in his ningen form, but
Kurama didn’t struggle much, he liked the feeling of challenge. He was taken
aback by Hiei’s question.
“What do you feel
about me fox?” Hiei felt something warm somewhere inside of him. A warm feeling
he always felt when he’s with Kurama. Hiei denied it for a while but he had
come to accept it. He was in love with the kitsune. Kurama was still silent,
his large emerald orbs widening even wider. “Answer me fox!?!”
::should
I tell him?:: Kurama
thought about this matter since the day he met Hiei. A voice in his head said
no, but the other said yes. The two voices were so loud that Kurama could swear
that Hiei could hear the voices. But the voice that said yes won and he took a
shaky breath “Au shitteru Hiei”: there I’ve said it, I told him how I feel::
He closed his eyes, anticipating a blow from Hiei, but what he received was
Hiei’s lips against his own and a soft displacement of air. Kurama opened his
eyes, he found Hiei sitting on his bed, Hiei was writing on a piece of paper
and in a blur of black he was gone.
Kurama
ran to the window, “Matte!!” he felt for traces of Hiei’s youki but there was
none. Kurama padded over to his bed and picked up the note Hiei left. Kurama
read the note and he felt hot tears spring to his eyes. He kept the note in a
drawer where he kept precious possessions and slept peacefully that night.
Hiei
landed inside Kurama’s room soundlessly, he made his way to where Kurama kept
the note he left. He opened the drawer and pulled out the note, he read the
note once more and placed one more kiss in his fox’s lips and left with a
whisper of ‘Ai shitteru’
